A responsive, animated and walking robotic Pleo Dinosaur is being used in the rehabilitation of patients, both physically and emotionally. The dinosaur presents an alternative to other "conventional" means of therapy such as pulley systems or utilizing light weights.

Those interested in pursuing an education in physical therapy must complete either a Master's degree (MPT, MSPT, or MS) program or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. An increasing number of students are opting to pursue a doctorate degree in physical therapy because the American Physical Therapy Association is moving toward requiring this degree for practice by the year 2020. Pediatric Occupational Therapist Jobs
When I got my Master's in Occupational Therapy with a concentration on pediatrics I was so excited to look for pediatric occupational therapist jobs. I knew that the internet was going to be a terrific resource for jobs and because I was so young I had the ability to move where the work was located. For me the main issue was what type of facility did I want to work in. Many jobs are located in hospitals and believe it or not I am not a big fan of hospitals.
Physical Therapist Requirements
Physical therapist requirements include a Master's or Doctoral degree in physical therapy from an accredited program. In 2007, there were 209 different accredited programs, including 43 Master's degree programs and 166 Doctoral programs. It is expected that eventually a Doctoral degree will be one of the entry level physical therapy requirements. These programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education typically last two to three years depending on the whether the program is a Master's degree or a Doctoral degree.
